Daddy's B-day and The Farm

But first a random pic that I asked Mommy to take of me and Max. I think we were eating apples, I can't remember. This is my favorite stool that I always sit on to eat dinner. It's great because it's nice and sturdy and I can climb up myself. We got it shortly after the leg break incident last year. Normally I don't like Max to come near my stool but today I guess I was sharing particularly well because I was letting him hold onto my stool.

Happy Birthday, Daddy! I made this cake practically all by myself! I wanted Daddy to have a chocolate cake with purple frosting. I cracked the eggs, poured everything and mixed it all together. Mommy even let us have it for breakfast before Daddy went to work on his birthday. I love birthday cake for breakfast!

Last week we went to Deanna Rose with our friends, Jack, Amy, Xavier and Natalie. Jack and Xavier are only 2 days apart and they each have a little brother only a month apart!

Picnic time!

Not sure why this flower says "Pig" - Mommy just realized that.

Jack, Xavier and I had fun playing in the little house. I really, really wanted to wear my K-State football pants and purple shirt that day. I also wanted to wear my purple Converses even though they are getting really small for me. I didn't care, I squished my feet in there because I love them so much.

Max had fun crawling around in the little house too.

Finally! Mommy tried so hard to get a pic of the 3 of us active boys all together and finally got one on this fence. What a fun day at the farm with my friends!

"The G" and "The Pop"

We went to Topeka over the weekend to visit GG and Poppy! We had the BEST time! In fact, I said to Poppy while riding in his truck, "Poppy, when I grow up, can I live with you, in your house?" I also often say that I like Poppy and GG's house better than my house. Another funny side note - I have new nicknames for GG and Poppy. While GG ran into the coffee shop to grab coffee, I said to Mommy, "Where did The G go?" Then we started laughing and I started saying, "The G" and "The Pop."

We had a great time feeding the ducks on Friday, well, they were mostly geese. These geese weren't too hungry, but I loved watching them fly into the water.

Max was just happy to watch me and be outside and he had a little snack himself.

We moved to this other spot to see if these geese were hungry. I really wanted the geese to eat the bread I was trying to feed them, but they weren't too interested.

Let's see if these ducks want to eat...

Finally found some hungry ducks!

Yea, these ducks like my bread!

Max and I loved sitting on GG's porch. It was SUCH a beautiful weekend!

Max and The G!

Saturday we had a picnic in the park before heading in to the zoo.

Poppy and I checking out the giraffes.

It was Max's first time ever to the zoo! He is going through a major "pointing" phase - loves to point!

Max's favorite was the elephants - he loved them!!

Mommy, GG and Poppy went to a wedding while Daddy stayed with Max and me.

Mommy and the loves of her life (minus Daddy). :)

Poppy, GG and Mommy leaving for the wedding.

I took a bunch of pictures with the camera while Daddy was with us. Here's one I took of Max. Whenever he eats messy food, I like to say, "Oh boy, Max, this is going to be messy business!"

One other highlight we didn't get any pics of (but we got video) was me and Poppy dancing to our VERY favorite song "Stuck Like Glue" (country song by Sugarland). We would crank the song in the truck and then dance out in the driveway. Mommy got video on her phone and if she can figure out how to get it on the computer, we'll post it on the blog.

Thanks so much, "The G" and "The Pop"! Max and I love being at your house so much. Everything we do in Topeka is the most fun and it's such a special, magical time we'll always remember!

Fall Fun Begins!

I had the idea to make a stained glass window in the family room! I started putting pieces of paper up in the window and Mommy said it looked just like a stained glass window.

I am so proud of my window! It looks so pretty when the sun shines through.

Little climber - Maxy loves to climb on ANYTHING...furniture, slides, you name it! I didn't climb as much as a baby, but Max sure is a monkey. He climbed ALL the way up the slide on our playset in the backyard the other day all by himself!

We had a special day with GG last week! We played with GG, went to lunch at Panera, then got a cupcake a GiGi's Cupcakes! They spell it a little different, but I think it's so cool it's named after my GG! Every time we pass it, I point it out and say, "GG's Cupcakes!"

I was excited to try it! We got a chocolate chip one. I only really like frosting on cupcakes. I call the other part the "bread part." I said that Max could have some of the bread part.

Hugs for my little bro, I love him so much!

SQUEEZE! (But I'm not letting go of the special treat that Mommy let me get at the grocery store - Sprees!) I LOVE special treats!

Max discovered toilet paper!

This morning on family day, our power was out. I woke up at 5:30am crying because the hall light and night light were off. Daddy tried to turn them back on and we discovered the power was out. We ate Rice Krispies for breakfast in the dark by candlelight. It was really rainy this morning, so it was very dark in our house. We got out flashlights and Daddy and I built a fort. When Max woke from his morning nap, we decided to get out of the dark house and go to the Louisburg Cider Mill. I loved climbing on these haystacks and eating donuts and drinking cider!

Max is wearing shoes for the first time- my first pair of shoes! They are still a little big, but at least he could stand at the cider mill.

Me and Max - Mommy and Daddy say it is SO hard to get a pic of us both looking and smiling!

Max liked the pumpkins!

Upside down!

Max really likes to point these days! He can successfully point to Mommy, Daddy, me, Murphy and trees.

The highlight was definitely these cinnamon apple donuts! Max got one too! His first sweet treat!!! He loved it and ate it faster than any of us!!

Yommy!!

Mommy and her most precious boys!! We got in the car and were leaving and I said to Max, "Was that yummy or what, Max?!" Mommy and Daddy started laughing. What a fun family day! Oh, and the power was back on by the time we got home!

Baby Brother is 10 Months!

My baby Max turned 10 months yesterday! He is such a fun baby brother! He loves crawling everywhere and has no fear. He likes crawling outside in the dirt, mulch, rocks, you name it. Not afraid to get dirty! He also is a major wiggle worm, especially when Mommy and Daddy try to change his diaper. I help distract him and play with him to try to make it easier. Max loves to eat "real" food now - had 3 pieces of pizza for lunch yesterday. He started refusing some of the baby foods - I wonder why. ;) He has 6 little teeth and weighed 20 lbs 3 oz at his appointment last week. He still loves cuddling Mommy especially and he sucks his left thumb just like me!

Sweet baby brother! This morning I crawled in his crib and we were playing before Mommy and Daddy got up. They heard us laughing and laughing. :)

Everyone is saying Max looks more and more like our daddy!

More Firsts!

After my first day of pre-school Tuesday, I had my very first dentist appointment on Wednesday. I loved going to the dentist! They had a cool aquarium and TV's on the ceiling! Here I am in the big chair, checking out the movie. Also, they gave me ICE CREAM when they were done cleaning my teeth AND tokens for toys out of a machine. Coolest dentist office ever! Something interesting we found out from the x-rays - I actually have 2 extra permanent teeth on top, which will have to be surgically removed at some point. The dentist gave us a referral for the oral surgeon who happens to be the same surgeon who did my mommy's jaw surgery almost 12 years ago! Hopefully we will be able to wait til I'm 5 or 6 for the surgery because they don't like to do it on little guys like me.

Here's Jessica, the hygenist, cleaning my teeth. I picked the cherry flavor - yum! Mommy was so proud of me, I was really brave the whole time and not scared one bit!

Another first - going to watch our favorite Shelby cheer her first high school year as a Blue Valley High School cheerleader! We went to watch her cheer at a soccer game on a beautiful day. Shelby did amazing!

My buddy, Shelby.

I thought it would be fun to make a funny face.

My friend, Cooper, had the coolest 3rd birthday party yesterday. When we got to his house, there was a REAL, giant digger in his driveway! We got these hats (and toolbelts - his Mommy is SO creative!) and got to ride in the big digger!

Check it out!

Max thought it was super cool too!

Here's the gang in front of the digger. 7 boys and 1 girl - Emma - who even got a pink hard hat!

My mommy and I made this fishing game, so I've been fishing in the hallway "water."

Today we had Connor over for our first "Cousin Club" get together! We're going to have Cousin Club once a month!

Connor and I have such a fun time together! I wanted to put on a yellow shirt like him when he came over in his yellow shirt. :)
