This morning we went to the Arboretum... they were having a nature craft event for kids. We saw our friends, Noah and Cooper there. We spent a lot of time NOT at the craft event because we were too excited about the trains.... they have this new train area where there are toy trains going around all kinds of tracks and even a big train engine you can climb in. It is awesome! Here's Noah and Max.
Here's part of the track that the trains go on.
This is the big train you can go in.
We were all pretty mesmerized by these trains. There was even a Mickey D's train, which you can kind of see in this picture.
Noah, me, Max and Cooper
Tonight I was so excited because we had our annual cookout and campout in the basement. Max and I roasted marshmellows for s'mores... but I ended up only eating the chocolate.
Maxy liked his s'more!
Graham crackers are pretty good too
Mommy, you're not allowed in the tent. It's just for boys. Mommy said that was just fine with her. :)
Maxy slept in his crib but Daddy and I stayed in the tent... what a fun night!!

Let the Fall Festivals Begin!
Last night the fall festivities really kicked off. We had the Leawood Fall Fest where Daddy always cooks hot dogs with his Kiwanis Club. Max and I just love it. We got to go on a hayrack ride, which was really fun. It was a gorgeous evening!
My buddies, Reid and Cooper got to come too!
I loved this HUGE slide! I went down it several times! (Note the attire: I am a penguin, with a red shirt on over my penguin outfit. I woke up Friday morning at 7am and asked Mommy how I could be a penguin.... maybe because we read a penguin book the night before??? We found all the black and white clothes we could. Mommy made me wear this red shirt over my penguin outfit to the festival, though.)
What a fun slide!!
Maxy was content to watch... he wasn't quite ready to venture into the bounce houses yet. (He is still talking about an incident where the "bounce house fall down" at a friend's house. Everyone was ok, but he is still a little scared of bounce houses.)
Once again, I wanted cotton candy (I love to request cotton candy at any event where it is sold) but as soon as I try it, I don't really like it. I only ate a couple bites this time too. I think Mommy and Daddy are probably done ordering cotton candy for me.

We got home late but I wanted to cuddle my brother and best buddy before bed.
I love you baby brother! Night night!
Cowboy Day
Last week we had "Cowboy Day" at school for "C" week. (My name starts with "C" too!) We learn about a new letter each week. I was so excited about my cowboy outfit. GG got me this awesome cowboy hat. Daddy made me a lasso and luckily my cowboy boots from a couple years ago still fit... good thing Mommy ordered them big!
When Daddy got home from work, he and Max joined in the fun. Here are Mommy's cowboys!

Daddy's Bday, Dunn's Cider Mill & Family Tree
Daddy's birthday was last Thursday. We gave Daddy a big birthday squeeze! We had fun celebrating with GG, Poppy and Uncle's family at our house.
On Friday, we went to Dunn's Cider Mill on Mommy day. I wanted to be a pirate that day. I've taken a brief break from Spidey to be a pirate the last couple days. Aren't my sunglasses cute on Max? They had yummy cider and donuts!
"Mommy, take a picture of my hook!"
Mommy made this family tree for us to play with. We love it!
Mommy and Daddy had a date night to celebrate Daddy's bday. They went to Marina Grogg and Galley. Max and I had a fun movie and popcorn party with Shelby!

Reading Canopy and More
Daddy reading to me in my canopy - Spiderman book, of course.
Mommy made some art clipboards for Max and me by the back door. Now we have another place to hang our artwork!
First day of school banner... forgot to post pics of it earlier.
The difference a year makes! I look so much bigger as a 4 year old.
My buddy, Murphy
Mommy and her baby boys! I should mention the apple squeezie Max is eating... we just love these things! It's apple sauce in a squeeze tube and we go through these things like crazy. It's one of our favorite things to eat (besides candy of course).
Today we got to go to our very first circus!! Here's Daddy and Max before we left.
I even got to wear my Spiderman costume to the circus. We didn't get any pictures at the actual circus, but it was such a fun time! I loved everything. Max loved the "guys dancing"... they had on some bouncing stilts and glow in the dark costumes and were doing basketball tricks. He also loved the elephants and the tigers.

A Playdate in Topeka
We had the best time in Topeka today with GG and Poppy! I couldn't wait to get to their house this morning. Before Mommy was even awake, I was already dressed and had a bag packed with all my "special things" to take (mostly Spiderman stuff and baseball pillow).
First GG took us to the Discovery Center. It's a cool play place we have been to before but we had never been to the outside play area. It was really neat! Max liked this drum. And Max really loved doing the "balance beam" logs with GG. He loves balance beams.
I liked swinging on these ropes.
They had these cool balance bikes with no pedals. Even Max could do them!
3,2,1... Blastoff, Max!
Me the astronaut
Then we went to my favorite restaurant in Topeka, Bobos! I love their hotdogs, french fries AND chocolate shakes! You can kind of see in this picture the bow and arrow set GG gave me as a special surprise today. I love it so much and carried it everywhere I went today. It was really tricky at first but I started to get the hang of it pretty quickly. Mommy will have to get some pictures of me practicing with it. I was so, so excited to get this surprise from GG!
Man talk with Poppy in his truck when he got home from school. I really like talking with Poppy. What a fun day in Topeka, we love you so much GG and Poppy!!!
