Annual Blueberry Picking

Hard to believe this was our 4th annual blueberry picking trip!  The first time we went, I was almost 2 and I loved the blueberries so much, I ate more than I put in my bucket.  I'm good at putting them in the bucket now, but I still love to eat them!  The only difference this year was that it was the first time GG and Poppy weren't able to join us.  We missed them, but I was sure to pick some blueberries to take to GG, my idea!  And actually the weather was much nicer this year... we happened to get a nice morning that wasn't too hot and was overcast.  Normally it is scorching hot!

Max doesn't like blueberries as much as Mommy and me, but he still had fun picking them!

First T-ball Game!

On Sunday night, I had my first t-ball game!  It was such a fun time.  I love playing t-ball and I love it even more that my daddy is my coach.  The Red Sox had a great game!  Here's my first time at bat.  Daddy said I was 3 for 3 and had 4 outs at first base in one inning.  I'm not sure what that all means, but I just know I had fun.

Summer Fun!

Here are just some random pics of summer fun.  We've already hit most of our summer bucket list and it's only the end of June, so we might be adding more to it!  Mommy was supposed to be in Canada for work this week, but her trip got cancelled due to flooding in Calgary, so we've had fun hanging out.
Mommy and I had a "date" to the movies on Saturday.  We went to see Monsters University.  It was a lot of fun and I especially liked getting Junior Mints and popcorn!!

Maxy hard at work in Daddy's office.  Mommy had a meeting at work last week while I was at school and so she dropped Maxy off to hang out at Daddy's office for a while.
Max and I are super into Ninja Turtles right now!  I first saw them on a commercial and it's become our newest obsession.  Mommy made us these masks and wristbands.  Daddy got us the "katanas", "bow staffs" and purple masks below.  Even Max can sing the whole theme song now and we've only been into ninjas for the past couple weeks!

We had art club last week at our friend's house and we all got to make tie dyed shirts for the 4th of July!  We had such a blast making them and love to wear them too!
On Saturday, we had family day at the pool.  I've been talking about going to the Leawood City pool since last summer.  It's one of my favorite pools because they have different animals that you can climb on in one of the pools and then slides and a splash area too.  It was super fun!  We've also been going to the pool at our gym quite a bit, but we haven't taken any pictures there yet.
I got to have a super special overnight at GG and Poppy's tonight all by myself!  Max was really sad when we told him about it last night.  He kept crying and crying and saying how he wanted to go too.  Now that's he's old enough to realize what he's missing out on, we'll have to work him into the rotation of overnights at GG and Poppy's.  Last night as Mommy was tucking me into bed, I whispered to her, "I can't wait for the overnight."

Do Re Me

Mommy sings "Do Re Me" to Max every night and now he knows it by heart too.  Mommy's very favorite movie growing up was "The Sound of Music", so she likes that her boys know this song.  :)

Father's Day

We had a great family day today for Father's Day at Deanna Rose and then went to play mini golf for the first time.  It was Daddy's first trip to Deanna Rose for the season, so we wanted to show him our newest favorite thing to do out there, mining!  I found the biggest piece of gold yet!

Mining fun!  Love looking for gold and gems!

 Maxy concentrating on the digger...

 Me on the digger!

Feeding the goats, of course!  Always a must!

 Tractor time!

 Putt-putt!
We ended the day with tball practice, with my favorite Coach Daddy!  It's my first time playing and I love it!
We had a fun day!  We love you, Daddy!

Grandview Splash Park

Something on our summer bucket list this year is the Grandview Splash Park.  We had heard about it from friends, but had never been.  We went last Friday and Max and I both had a blast!

Lemonade Stand and Family Fishing

This morning after my first karate lesson, we decided to have a lemonade stand!  It was our neighborhood garage sale weekend, so we figured we could pick up quite a few customers, and we did.  It was great fun!  Max liked to help scoop the ice for people.  I liked handing out cookies and taking the money.  I made the sign all by myself too!
After naps, we had a family fishing outing!  I've been talking about fishing non-stop since going yesterday with Poppy.  We went to Shawnee Mission Park.  In a moment of weakness since Mommy hadn't seen us in 5 days, she let us wear our superhero jammies fishing...

 Maxy checking out the lures...

 Being silly!

Baiting the hook with a worm!

Best quotes of the day after fishing as we were heading back to the car....
Maxy to Mommy.... "Thank you for teaching me how to do fishing."
Cole to everyone.... "Even though I didn't catch any fish, I still had fun."
A beautiful evening....
