Cider Mill & Apple Picking

Fall has begun!!  We are so excited, especially Mommy.  It is her favorite season!  There are tons of fun things to do in the fall and many traditions we have.  We already made our annual stop at the Louisburg Cider Mill last Friday with some buddies and will go again sometime with Daddy because it's a family tradition for the 4 of us to go there together.  The donuts and cider are delicious!

I wanted to pick out a pumpkin to take home.
It sure was heavy!
Posing for Mommy!

Sweet Baby Holden is 6 months!
Max, me, Noah, Cooper, Reid, Holden and Emma
What a fun day!
Yesterday we went to Schweizer Orchards to pick apples.  It was the first time we had ever done that!  We had a blast!
We took a hayrack ride out to the orchard and found tons and tons of apples, all different varities too!

Max is taking after me... wanting to wear costumes (especially Spidey) everywhere!

These apples are heavy!

I figured out a way to carry the heavy apples!
Now it's time for Mommy to make lots of apple desserts!  We like to help do the apple peeler cranker thing.  We are going to have an apple crisp tonight!

Mommy's Home!

Mommy always gets a little camera crazy when she gets home after being gone on a trip.  We were just playing out in the backyard and she kept taking pictures of us.  I was showing her all the new upside down tricks I can do on the monkey bars.

And Maxy of course wanted to be pushed on the swing.  He loves to swing!

Banff, Canada

This entry is by Mommy...
I can't remember the last time I took my camera on a work trip, but I knew that Banff was going to be a very special place and so I decided it was worth it to drag the bulky camera along this time.  Banff didn't disappoint.  It was one of (if not THE) most majestic places I have ever traveled to.  There were scenic views wherever you looked.  We were lucky enough to stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs, which is a historic 125 year old hotel that looks like a castle (see above).  People come from all over the world to see it and stay there.  The unique thing about Banff too is that it is located in the Bow River Valley and due to the glaciers, the Bow River is a clear aqua color.  It almost looks like the Caribbean.  I really want to go back on a second honeymoon with Craig.  :)  I've never seen anything like it.
Above is the view from our hospitality suite (we were located in the penthouse suite for hospitality).
This is the view right out the window in my room!

The wildflowers were gorgeous and it even snowed the last night we were there!  The temperatures really fluctuated from day to night.  It was nice in the high 50's during the day but would get in the low 30's at night.

Another view of part of the resort.
While I was gone, GG did a lot of duty with Cole and Max.  This is my favorite picture she took of Max and his favorite love puppy.  A match made in heaven. :) GG got to take Max to Kindermusik and transported Cole back and forth to school.  They got to play outside because the weather was so gorgeous here.  I sure was more than thrilled to hug and smell my boys when I got home at midnight last night.  Nothing is better than coming back home to them.

Daddy's Birthday, etc.

Here are just some random pics from the last couple weeks...
My latest dress up gear is a fireman.  I made the costume myself and came up with all the different accessories.  The jacket and boots are hand me downs from the Beyers and then I had the idea for the mask and mouth cover.  I brought home the cup from school and told Mommy it was my fireman mask.  Max was a superhero that day.
Then of course Max wanted to be a fireman like me.  He always likes to do what I do.  :)  So we found him a red coat in the closet, an extra hat and I even brought him home a cup from school so that he could have a mask like me.
We had art club at Cooper and Noah's last Thursday and taped and painted pumpkins.  I used glow in the dark paint!  Mine is the yellow one, Max's is the gray one and Mommy's is white.

On Friday Mommy took us to "Paint Me A Story."  It's at a pottery place here.  They read a story to us, then we get to paint a piece of pottery and have a snack.  We read a book about Splat the Cat, so we got to paint cats!  I did purple and Max did green, of course.  Those have been our favorite colors ever since I can remember.

We wanted Mommy to hold both of us.  She barely could!
Friday was Daddy's birthday and he requested a road trip to Williamsburg, KS for the best BBQ in the world.  We went to Guy and Mae's and had yummy ribs, beans, potato salad and cole slaw.  We even got to play some pool there.  Then we played in the part across the street afterward and made a stop at DQ for blizzards on the way home.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!  We love you!
