Toothbrush Robot

I've been meaning to post this for a while.  This is from earlier in the month.  Daddy and I built robots out of toothbrushes.  I had been asking Daddy for quite some time if we could build a robot together, but I wanted the robot to actually move and work. So, Daddy did some research online and came up with this robot for us to make together.  It's pretty cool!

First Big Kid Bike!

I got an early 6th birthday present from Mommy and Daddy on Sunday!  We went to the bike shop and got me a brand new big kid bike!  I had outgrown the small hand me down bike from our neighbor.  My new bike is pretty cool!  It has a handle break and is bright blue.  I have training wheels for now, but I bet with lots of practice this spring and summer, I'll be out of training wheels soon.  Maxy inherited the other little bike so now we can both ride our bikes together!

Spring Soccer

I am having a blast playing spring soccer!  On Saturday at our game, I had my first goal of the season!  It was really excited!  I kicked it from pretty far and it went right in!

What does the fox say?

Spring Fun

Earth Day art club at Reid, Coco and Holden's house.  We did lots of fun nature crafts!

Maxy and Mommy took a walk while I was at school... Maxy still loves dandelions... always has.

Look what Maxy wrote... "Max loves puppies"
A "new" skateboard we borrowed from Philip in Australia.  He didn't have enough room to take it back home so he left it at GG and Poppy's.  We were going to borrow it but he told us that we can have it!  Lucky us!  We are learning all sorts of tricks on it!

Easter Morning

Easter morning would not be complete with an ornery boy during family pictures, discovering treats from the Easter bunny and an early morning egg hunt, wiggles at Mass (but overall good job at church) and the arrival of our best buddies and sweet cousins at GG and Poppy's house, Connor, Grayson and Jack.

Easter Weekend in Topeka

We had a really fun Easter weekend in Topeka.  Mommy, Max and I went over on Friday morning and got to have a playdate at the park with some of Mommy's high school friends.  Then GG took us to our favorite... Bobo's for lunch while Mommy went to lunch with her friend, Katherine and her new baby.  Friday night we went to dinner with some of GG and Poppy's friends.  Saturday we dyed eggs, played outside ALL day and went to Lake Shawnee to ride scooters and check out the beautiful tulips.  Daddy joined us in Topeka early evening on Saturday after work. (We each packed our own suitcases, complete with several superhero costume changes, of course.)

Hard to read but Mommy loved that someone wrote on the steps at the lake... "I will love you every step of the way."

School Egg Hunt

On a freezing cold but sunny day last Wednesday, we had our egg hunt and Easter party at pre-k.  Here's me and my teacher, Mrs. M.

Checking out eggs with my school buds
An attempt at a class pic, but I think everyone was too cold to get a good one!

Little Rockers

Daddy found this crazy wig in his closet for me... he said it was when he was a rocker for Halloween once.  The Mohawk wig was one that Mommy and Daddy got for us when they had to pick out a prize and nothing else caught their eye.  Turns out these wigs are GREAT entertainment for us (and especially for Mommy and Daddy as they watch us!) ;)

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Riding our bikes down to the neighborhood park for the Easter Egg Hunt!  We got there so early... about 30 minutes.  We wanted to go ever earlier, but Mommy made us wait.

Daddy made it from work just in time!  Getting ready at the start line!

Go!  Max went with me in the 4-6 year old hunt, so it was a little tricky for him to find eggs with all the big kids running so fast.  Daddy helped him and then I ended up sharing a bunch of my eggs with him (without Mommy and Daddy even asking me to!) ;)
