Kindergarten Round-Up and Soccer (Max's first game!)

It's so hard to believe that my littlest love is going to be a kindergartener in the fall.  I still think of him as my little baby.  He did great at round-up.  I could tell he was nervous because he held my hand really tight when we first walked into the building. (I love that he still likes to hold my hand!!!)  He was pretty shy but did fine when they separated us and said he liked it.  He wanted to show me the classroom he was in.  He is going to do full day kindergarten, which I feel a little guilty about since Cole did half day, but he really wants to be there all day with his brother and friends and I know he will do just great. He gets bored easily at home without Cole.  I sure am going to miss him and his big brother!  It will be so quiet with them both at school all day....

Max did an awesome job at his first soccer game.  He had a lot of fun (he and Noah can get a little goofy together as you can tell!) but overall he was very focused and even scored 2 goals.  He isn't all that aggressive, but he definitely got in there and did a great job!

Silly big brothers

I don't know how I missed getting the below pics on the blog previously.  These were taken Easter weekend, which was Cole's first game of the season and should have been Max's first game, but he got rained out.  He was so bummed... he's been watching Cole play sports for years and was so excited to have it be his turn!  But he was a good sport about it. :)

This pic above is from the North Star in Topeka, we ate there to celebrate GG's birthday after the first soccer day. :)

April Updates

Here are some recent pics...
Maxy had a bday party at the Iron Woods Nature Center a couple weeks ago and decorated the safari hat above. :)
Craig and I had a fundraiser for Cole's school a couple weeks ago and the theme was 80s prom.  We had a blast!  I borrowed a dress from our sweet neighbor across the street and Craig picked out his outfit from Amazon. ;)  Side note, Craig's wig really embarrassed Cole... anytime Craig puts it on, Cole tells him to take it off because it's so embarrassing.  Good thing Cole wasn't at the party! ;)

We went to dinner with a few neighbors beforehand, which was a lot of fun.
A bike ride with my guy :)
Cole's 1st grade musical... GG and Poppy came for the special night.  The kids did an awesome job and I was impressed at how they all participated so well and knew all their lines, songs and actions.  Cole did a great job with his line and spoke very clear and loud.  We went out for ice cream after.

Max and I went to Deanna Rose for the first time this season last week.  It was a really nice afternoon and wasn't too crowded.  Max wanted to feed the goats but then got a little hesitant once we got up there.

He has always loved this green turtle bouncy toy

 Mining!
Mom and I went to lunch for her birthday at a fun restaurant in Independence, MO called Vivilore.  We forgot to take a picture there so we took one once we got back to our house.
Reid "won" an overnight at our house last weekend.  He and Cole had a bracket challenge and since Reid won, he got to pick dinner and which house he wanted to spend the night at.  We met their family at Spin for dinner and then the boys had a blast playing lots of ball!

Chocolate chip pancakes in the morning
 And more bball :)

New hammock on the top deck, which the boys are loving.  We read books out there last night before bed and they loved that.
The Roth boys came over to play and Craig watched everybody while Jess and I went to Kinky Boots with GG and Poppy and some of their friends.  The show was great and Craigy was a great dad/uncle to have all the boys. :)

Hammock time with Max and Mommy
Cole had a soccer game Tuesday night and was so proud about scoring 5 goals during the game!  Max is really excited to finally have his first game on Saturday!
