Last Soccer Games, First Baseball Games and Cousin Club

Both boys had their last soccer game on Saturday and Max had his first tball game.  Then Cole had his first baseball game of the season on Sunday.

 Maxy was so cute at his first baseball game!  He did a great job and got a hit every time up to bat, as did Cole at his first game!  Cole even broke his bat on his first at bat!

Cole's Last Day of First Grade!

Cole made a great transition to Leawood Elementary this fall from Indian Valley.  He made friends quickly, loved his teacher (Miss Nelson) and joined some fun sports teams with his school friends.  He was so calm and cool about the move and changing schools but after reading his daily journal that just came home from school, I realize the move was more of a big deal to him than he said.  He wrote in his journal how he was sad at first to move but that it all turned out ok and he made new friends and had fun.  His teacher did special awards for each child and he got an award for "Super Work" and always doing his best work.  I'm proud of my new second grader.

Max's Last Day of Preschool

How can it be that our preschool years are over... after driving to St. Michael's the last 5 years for preschool with Cole and Max, sadly we are done.  They were such precious, sweet years and I have so many warm, fond memories.  I'm so proud of my little Maxy.  He loved preschool and really thrived.  He made good friends, learned how to write (and read!) and often got the award for "helping hand of the day."  He is a conscientious, sweet little guy and I know he is ready for kindergarten and excited to be in school with his big brother.

 I love that he still loves his love puppy!!

 12 year anniversary!  GG and Poppy took Cole and Max to Topeka so Craig and I could have a night to ourselves.  We had dinner at Avenues in Brookside and woke up to a quiet home, which was a wonderful treat! :)  The boys had a blast in Topeka fishing with GG and Poppy, playing putt-putt, going for a scooter ride and eating at Bobo's!
