Ahoy, Mate!

We had a little trial run with our Halloween costumes this week. We had some buddies over to play in costume. We got all ready that morning and I kept asking Mommy if I had my whole costume. Mommy said, "yes, you've got your hat, eye patch, treasure map, sword... what else could you need?" And I said, "What about my parrot??" Yikes, Mommy didn't think of that! So we made our own Polly quick and I loved wearing Polly on my shoulder all day!

Here's my treasure map. Daddy burned the edges to make it look real authentic. I told Mommy that my buried treasure in the backyard was full of "lots of cookies and candy!"

Big boy pirate and baby pirate! Isn't he the cutest baby pirate ever?

Max wanted me to have a moustache too, but I didn't really want one. Mommy drew one on me but I wanted her to take it off. I wasn't too sure about the moustache. Maybe for actual Halloween I'll let Max and Mommy draw one on me.

Mommy even wore a pirate outfit too! I wasn't too sure about the big gold earring, so I had Mommy wear that.

My nice friends in their fun costumes - Annie the bee, Max the pirate, Cole the pirate, Maya the bunny, Nolan the dinosaur, Charlotte the strawberry and Brady the shark!

Brady's mom made these cute skeleton cupcakes for us!

This morning I got to shave with Daddy. Mommy couldn't resist getting pics since we were practically in matching jammie pants too!

"I want to grow up big and strong like Daddy!"

We got a new hand me down table from Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Johnson. Now even Max can sit at the big table and I really wanted him to sit by me at dinner tonight. He loved being big like me!

Pumpkin Express!

Last Sunday, we went on the Pumpkin Express with Connor! It was the first train ride for Max and me on a real, big train! We had such an awesome time! It was in Belton, MO. They took us out on the train to a little area where they had games and pumpkins set up. We played there and then headed back. There are lots of pics here, but there were so many cute ones Mommy wanted to make sure I added.

Connor and I liked standing on the caboose.

I'm driving the train!

Getting ready to board! Max felt like such a big boy sitting with us!

I absolutely love giving Max hugs and kisses every chance I get!

Sweet, sweet cousins!

Connor and Max having a chat.

I made ghostie cookies to bring for us to snack on for the train ride.

The boys!

The train was all decorated for Halloween too!

Max LOVED the train ride!

Connor and I played bags together.

Max also loves pumpkins!

Me and the conductor! I was playing a fishing game that was pretty cool too.

Powell Pumpkin Patch

This first pic is not from the Powell Pumpkin Patch - this was earlier in the week, Xavier had me over to play and we had a great time riding his bikes! The video of Max on the little bike is from Xavier's house. He is letting Max borrow it.

Today I went to the Powell Pumpkin Patch with some friends. We had a great time! I liked climbing these tractor tires and they also had a really cool slide.

Max liked the sand box!

We went out looking for pumpkins. I said, "Mommy, I keep tripping on these giant vines!" Me, Cooper and Reid, checking things out.

We tried to get a pic of everyone, Noah sat this one out. Pictured: Reid, Emma, Cooper, Max, me, Samanta and Kole

Emma and Max were so cute together, look at her cute little pumpkin hat! They liked trying to eat the pumpkin vines.

Sweet babies - Emma, do you want some of my graham cracker?

Max is 11 Months and I'm a Scary Doggie!

Yesterday our neighborhood had "Oktoberfest" at our park. It was so much fun, there was a bounce house, a big slide, a band, a balloon artist and face painter. I got my face painted for the first time ever. I wanted to be a scary doggie. I sat really still and did a great job. Then when I was in the bounce house, I kept asking Mommy if it was rubbing off because I wanted to make sure it stayed on. When we got home I told Mommy we better wash it off so it didn't get on my bed. She thought that was a good idea too.

This is a picture from last week when we had school pictures. Mommy loves this little shirt on me.

Max the mountain climber! He LOVES to climb! He climbs the slide all the time!

Max was so proud of himself getting to sit at the big boy table and eat lunch with me. He loves the picnic table.

Murphy and I put on our K-State jerseys. I thought Murphy looked so cute in his, but I don't think he liked wearing it too much.

Today was Max's 11 month birthday! We can't believe he'll be 1 in just 1 month! He is loving "real" food and does so good with a sippy cup. He is a busy, busy boy and won't sit still for a story or anything else, for that matter. Mommy thinks he said his first word the other day - dog. Our neighbor's dog was out and he was in the swing. He pointed to the dog and said what sounded like, "a dog". He also sort of says what sounds like "all done."

We LOVE Fall!

No wonder fall is Mommy's very favorite time of year! We are just having so much fun together and with our friends. It's been a gorgeous fall, can't beat the weather, and we've been doing lots of fun activities! We took another trip to the Cider Mill with some friends. Here's Max and his sweet friend, Charlotte. They are only 1 month apart! She is a cutie!

This pumpkin was really heavy! But I'm growing bigger and stronger every day and someday I'll be a big, strong man like Daddy. I like to say that.

We got all us kids in one picture, but it truly is impossible getting everyone to look. It didn't help that our moms positioned us so that we were looking right into the sun! From top left to right - me, Nolan, Maya, Brady, Max, Charlotte, Annie

We went to this other really cool fall fest last night. I LOVED this big slide! First I went down by myself. It was super fast! I was a little scared, but not too much. Then Daddy went down it with me, then Mommy too. Mommy was the most scared, she screamed on the way down!

I met this nice chipmunk at the fall fest too. I loved giving him hugs, high fives and holding his hand. I stayed right by him for quite a while.

Some of my friends came to the festival too. Here's me and my cousin buddy, Connor. We went on a hayrack ride together, but Mommy left the camera back at the stroller with Max and Daddy so we didn't get any pictures of that.
