It's been a while since we've posted, but our family has been passing the flu bug around and we haven't been up to much lately except lots of snuggling and staying in. First Mommy was sick, then me, then Max and now Daddy. Daddy and I got sickest. Mommy says she just doesn't like it one bit when we are sick. The only part she likes is getting to cuddle and snuggle with us lots!
Daddy read us some stories.
We've been doing lots of science experiments. We did these grow balls and tiger eye balls from my science kit I got for Christmas. Mommy has also been finding other cool experiments for us to do.
This one was pretty awesome - the "naked egg"... you put a raw egg in vinegar and cover it with plastic wrap. After 24 hours, change out the vinegar. Within about 48 hours, the egg shell dissolves and you are left with a squishy naked egg!
Then we decided to see what happens when you take a knife and cut the egg... it was still juicy inside like a normal egg.
Peek a boo from the pantry!

This one we probably had the most fun with because I told Mommy I wanted to make up my own experiment... we got to mix whatever item in a cup that we wanted from our kitchen. We put in mustard, ketchup, food coloring, carrots, blueberries, strawberry syrup, salt, pepper, milk, etc. The only bummer was when Max accidentally spilled his all over, oops!
In front our our interesting concoctions and in back is another experiment where you start with blue and yellow water and put a paper towel in each cup meeting in the middle to make green water!
This one was Mommy's favorite because it was the easiest! Microwave a bar of Ivory soap for 2 minutes and you get an enormous "soap cloud"! Soo cool (and your kitchen smells good)!

We also experimented with making rock candy. We didn't think it was turning out, but we let it sit for about a week and it finally starting making crystals. We haven't tried eating it yet, but hope it is good!
Maxy got his first candy necklace. We have a "warm fuzzy" bucket that we get to fill with fuzzy pom poms when we do something nice and make someone feel warm and fuzzy. We filled the bucket last week so we each got to pick out a prize. Max got a candy necklace and I picked a yard stick of gum. It sure looks cool, but I didn't care for the gum itself. Oh, well. Here's to a healthy househould, we hope!!!
