More Summer Activities

More summer fun!!!

 Tuesday we went to the Curious George exhibit at Crown Center.  I was super excited to get this parascope before we went.  After watching a Curious George episode, I tried to make my own at home with mirrors, paper and tape, but it was pretty tricky, so I was very happy to find this one and it works awesome!

 At the library... a weekly stop.  We turned in our summer reading program cards and got certificates and a book of our very own to keep!  We've read 76 new books so far this summer.

 Swimming at the gym with Daddy, he met us there on Mommy's birthday yesterday.  I can swim across the entire BIG pool ALL by myself doing freestyle AND backstroke!!

Wave Crashin' and Ninja Turtles!

We are having such a wet and wild time with our new wave crasher for the backyard.  It's pretty awesome!

 And the "costume of THIS summer" is definitely ninja turtles!  Last summer I was all about Spidey and now I'm super into ninja turtles!

4th of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend!  We stayed in town and just kind of had a family weekend.  Here's us with Mommy in the tie dye shirts we al made!

 We went to the festival in Prairie Village and it was awesome!  They had a parade, bounce houses, an exotic animal petting zoo, balloon guy, concerts, puppets, fire trucks, police cars, etc. etc.

 The parade was pretty fun because we got to ride our bikes!

 

 We also had lots of fun at home in the backyard!

 And then on Friday night we had cousin club at our house and Connor even got to have an overnight with us!  He slept in my "drawer" and we actually went to sleep pretty quickly this time!

 On Saturday, we got to do something super special!  We went to Theater in the Park and saw Peter Pan!  I LOVED it!!  Max liked it too but got restless toward the end.  It was fun because we took a picnic for dinner and just hung out.  It sprinkled a little before the show but ended up being a beautiful night.  We didn't get home til 11pm... our latest night EVER!

Ice Cream Train

We had our second annual ice cream train ride with the E and H families.  We always have such a blast with them!  It was a beautiful, beautiful evening, not very hot or humid.  We had a wonderful time!

 I've been talking about wanting to eat a coconut for over a year now.  I think I first learned about them from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  Anyway, we finally bought one at the store and tried it out.  I sure didn't think it was all "cracked" up to be what I thought it would...

More Summer Fun
