Topeka

Max and Mommy got to spend the weekend in Topeka while Daddy and I were at the lake. It was a gorgeous weekend, so we went out to Lake Shawnee and went fishing and hung out. Puppy got to go too. :)

Another highlight was swinging in GG and Poppy's awesome tree swing in the front yard. Mommy and Max had an awesome time!!

Daddy and I had a really special weekend last weekend! We got to go to Lake of the Ozarks with Reid and his daddy and Cooper and his Daddy. We all rode in Reid's car which was a lot of fun. (Maxy wanted in the picture too even though he wasn't going.)

We got to do SO many fun things at the lake! We went boating, canoeing, went on the jet ski, etc, etc. Mommy can't believe I am old enough to do all these "big boy" things now! We stayed up late watching movies and got to have a slumberparty.

We are so grateful to our amazing friends for taking us on such a special weekend getaway!

Shatto Dairy

Today was a beautiful day at the Shatto Dairy... again around 75 degrees! Amazing for August! We took a drive out to the Shatto Dairy to taste delicious milk and learn how the cows make it. It was a little over an hour away but well worth the drive!

They had a cute little general store where they sold their ice cream, milk and cheese. Here's Max and I with our buddies, Nolan and Maya.

We tasted banana, strawberry, cotton candy, rootbeer, coffee (Mommy tried), chocolate and maybe one more. Chocolate was our favorite! We thought it was even better than Poppy's chocolate milk. ;)

On Monday, we got to go bowling with our good bud, Jack. It was his first time ever to bowl! We had a really fun time and bowled a whole game together. We all won!

Daddy Adventure Day

I was lucky enough to go to 2 Royals games in the past week. On Sunday, I had my second annual "Daddy Adventure Day." Daddy took me to the Royals game and we had an awesome time. Actually first we went to Winstead's and then we went to the game. We got to play in the kids zone where they have the carousel, you get to go out on the field and bat, play putt putt, etc. It was a beautiful day once again. I love Daddy Adventure Day!

Then I was lucky enough to go to another Royals game on Tuesday night! My buddy, Jack and his Daddy invited my Daddy and me. A fun evening at the K again!

Balloon Fest

Mommy was out of town for work last week so we had a great week with GG and Poppy and Carey. Mommy got home Friday night and Saturday night we went to the hot air balloon festival. It was a lot of fun! It was a beautiful evening. It has been an incredibly mild August!

We got to see the "balloon glow" where they lit up all the balloons. There were some fun ones!

We happened to run into our friends, Maya and Nolan there, so that was a treat!

Peter Pan Camp

This week was one of the most memorable of the summer! I got to go to Peter Pan camp (and I had even more fun than Mommy thought I would.) I did it all on my own without any of my friends and I had a great time making new friends and learning all the Peter Pan songs and moves. I also loved snack time at 10:30 where we got to pick our own snack out. I liked the special treats like donuts and ring pops. ;) We also played pirate tag and other fun games! It was all week from 9-12 in the morning and then on Friday night, we had a showcase performance for our families! Mommy, Daddy, Max, GG and Poppy were so proud of me! And I wasn't shy about telling people that I was "the star!"
