Mommy in Costa Rica

A quick side note about Mommy. She went to Costa Rica for work this week. Max and I had the biggest and best time with Shelby and then GG and Poppy in Topeka while she was gone! We got to play at our house with our Shelby and then were in Topeka 3 days and got to go to the cool pool in Topeka, went to some fun events at the library, went on the zoo train and got to go fishing with Poppy... and eat at all our favorite restaurants. It was the best! Here are a few pics from Mommy's trip. She loved Costa Rica!

Playa Conchal at the resort... beach was made up of billions of crushed seashells. Such a lush and beautiful country, people are amazing and they know all about "Pura Vida!"... living it up, living life to the fullest.

Coatis all over the resort... kind of a cross between a raccoon and an anteater, but very friendly. The rainforest is a beautiful place full of exotic animals making all kinds of noises day and night.

Even got to go zip lining in the jungle with the group... a blast!! Want to take my boys someday!

Missed my boys a ton, but was a great trip! I usually don't take pics on my work trips, but actually got a few this time.

First T-Ball and First Karate

I have been so, so excited to start t-ball! One of the reasons that I'm so excited is that my Daddy is my coach! Last Sunday was our first practice. I got up from my quiet time in the afternoon and came running into Mommy and Daddy's room with my uniform on, trying to tie my shoes, all ready to go. I had such a fun time! Daddy's favorite part was when afterward I said, "Thank you for teaching me how to play baseball, Daddy."

I also got to start karate today, which was super awesome! Jack T and I are doing it together. (Here we are doing sit-ups.) Our Coach Steve was pretty tough, but he is doing a great job keeping us in line and I really liked it. Afterward, we had a lemonade stand (pics to come) and I said that I wanted to use my money that I made at the lemonade stand to buy a "karate costume."

Max and I were really excited about these new Batman shirts Mommy got for us that even have capes! We were wearing our long sleeve super hero shirts but Mommy said it was getting too hot for those. Many superhero days behind us and many more ahead, I'm sure!

Strawberry Picking

We had a beautiful, beautiful morning for strawberry picking last Thursday. We had a blast with Mommy and our friend, Jack. The strawberries were the most delicious fruit I've tasted lately! Definitely a great way to kick off summer!
