Minnesota!!

Cole and I had a really special Mommy Son weekend the last weekend in May.  We went to Minnesota to visit Jack and Jess.  Jack was Cole's really great preschool buddy and Jess is my good buddy as well. We had such a great time with them!  Cole was an awesome traveler and loved getting to fly and go on a special trip with Mommy.

Jack and Cole!  It was a surprise to Jack that we were visiting... it was so cute to see his reaction when they picked us up at the airport.  The boys had such fun together and picked up right where they left off.
Daddy and Max had a special weekend together too!  Daddy took Max to Zonkers and a movie and they had lots of treats. :)

Mini donuts... apparently a Minnesota thing, yum!

My sweet big guy!  I had so much fun with Cole and our friends.  I'm so glad Cole is my son.

Summer Baseball

It's been a fun summer baseball season so far.  We've had 3 games.  The team is called the Royals and Daddy is coaching again.  Maxy is a #1 fan too!

Ellinwood

We had a really special Memorial Day weekend in Ellinwood visiting Great Grandpa Don.  It brings so much joy to my heart to see the boys as excited about going to Ellinwood as I was growing up.  They loved every second of it and were so excited to be there the entire weekend.  They had their first driving lesson at the "feedlot" where Grandpa Don taught me to drive.  (Daddy let them get a little more wild and crazy than I did when I was learning!) ;)  We toured the tunnels beneath Ellinwood, went fishing at Wolf Pond and swam at the hotel pool.  But the highlight of it all was getting to be with Grandpa Don.  We went out to the cemetery with him to put flowers on family graves, grilled out at his house and ate dinner with him in Great Bend.  My favorite two memories are hearing him and the boys laugh as they were driving at the feedlot and also sitting on the driveway with him yesterday on such a beautiful afternoon as I listened to him tell stories of when he and Grandma got married, what it was like growing up on the farm and stories about his family.  I am honored to get to hear his stories and have him share his life with me.  I love my Grandpa for the great man that he is and the kind heart that he has.

Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten Graduation was a special day the last week of school.  Families were invited to help celebrate the kindergarteners and hear what they liked most about kindergarten (music and his teacher) and what they are most excited for next year (eating in the cafeteria).  GG went with us too so that made it extra special as well!

Cole, we are so proud of you always and loved watching you learn and grow your kindergarten year.  One of my favorite things was seeing how you learned to read and I love that you can read books on your own now.  You are a good student and friend and we look forward to watching you as you continue on your journey.  We're always right behind you and loving you the whole way.
