Reunion, Cousin Ben, Gma & Gpa

Daddy and Mommy went to Daddy's 20 year high school reunion!  They had a great time and had an overnight at a hotel on the beach!
The next day, our cousin Ben came over to Grandma and Grandpa's to play!  He is one year younger than me and one year older than Max.  We had a blast together!
 Ben, Max and me!

Grandpa and Grandma took us to the park our last day.
We had such a wonderful time!  It was great to have so many "family days" in a row!  We love Florida and visiting our family there!

Clearwater Beach - Day 2

This was our second beach day at Clearwater Beach.  Again, we were lucky to escape rain!

I wanted to be buried in the sand!
Grandpa and Daddy got me this really cool sting ray raft to ride the waves!  Daddy and I had a blast riding the waves ALL morning long!
 Taking a much-needed break!

Honeymoon Island

Honeymoon Island is the closest beach to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We went there one evening despite the wind and dark skies.  Max and Mommy had fun in the sand.

Daddy and I crashed the waves!

You can tell it was windy by Max's mohawk!

More Florida Fun - Ice Cream & Pirates

We went to Mommy and Daddy's favorite ice cream shop in Florida - Strachan's.  They have something called "yummy yummy" sauce that goes on their ice cream and it's delicious!
Max and I were s sticky gooey mess!
The next morning, Daddy and Mommy took me on a pirate cruise - ARRG!

Here was the ship!  I was so excited to meet "real" pirates and wanted to wear my pirate costume from Halloween (even though it was long sleeved and sweat pants!)  Mommy said a million times... are you sure??  I didn't get too hot til the end, though.
There were all kinds of cool things on the ship... like real pirates that played games with us.  We did water squirters, had a treasure hunt and a dance party.  It was a blast!

Clearwater Beach - Day 1

We got lucky the first few days we were in Florida.  Even though there was a tropical storm brewing in the Gulf, the weather was nice enough for us to go to the beach the first few mornings.  It was very overcast, which is great for fair skinned boys like us and Mommy said it was great for picture-taking too!
Max's first time on the sand of Clearwater Beach!
Heading out into the water for the first time on this trip!  I didn't even remember being in Florida because the last time I was there, I was younger than Max, only about 14 1/2 months old!
 I love the water!!!!!
Grandpa is showing me something out in the water.
Max preferred the sand and Daddy throwing him up in the air!

Max likes being right here on the sand, Daddy.
But I want to be in the water all day!
Max, Daddy, me and Grandpa
 Max was scared!
He was saying please go back to the sand, Mommy... not to the water!
 It's ok little Maxy Mouse.
This was as close to the water as Max got, in Mommy's arms.
Max had to be on DRY sand too, not wet sand.  I think the loud sound of the waves crashing scared him.  The waves were really big because of the tropical storm.

Max and Grandma liked building sand castles.
Daddy and I were the ultimate wave crashers!!  We played a game called "See Ya Later Dude!" where we would crash into the waves together!

Love this pic of Max with his big shovel!

 Our little family of 4!

 Max's curly cue!

 Peek a boo, Max!
 Crashing the waves with Grandpa
What a fun first day on Clearwater Beach with Grandma and Grandpa!
