Thanksgiving Weekend

If there's one thing that Max and I love, it's Poppy's truck.  Poppy let me take the wheel this weekend and it sure was fun.  Mommy tells me that she remembers her Grandpa taking her out driving when she was my age and that was one of her favorite things to do with her Grandpa.
We also like to sit in the back of Poppy's truck and crank some tunes... Poppy music, of course.  (Country) :)
Another thing we love to do at GG and Poppy's is to play frisbee.  It was a really nice Thanksgiving Day, so we got to play outside a lot.

My little brother, Max, kept throwing it off the driveway, down into the neighbor's yard and then he'd run down to get it and try to throw it back up again.

Checking out GG's pretty Thanksgiving table.  We brought over our chair covers that we made.

 Yummy Thanksgiving meal!
GG had a special project for us to do with her and we LOVED it because it involved donuts!  We made these snowman donuts.  It was so much fun that we made several!

We came back on Saturday and met up with some friends who were visiting from out of town and then went to the luminary walk with Maya and Nolan.  It was our second year for it and we loved it again.  Christmas lights are one of our favorite Christmas activities!  It was cold out there, though!
Poor Maxy was so cold and tired.  :(
On Sunday, we decorated the Christmas tree!  Daddy wore his funny Christmas sweater "t-shirt" and I had on my reindeer jammies and Max wanted to wear his reindeer shirt.  I kept saying, "Santa is coming tonight!"  Mommy says we still have to wait about a month... man, it's sure a long wait til Christmas!
This year, Max and I got our own trees for our rooms!  My tree has purple ornaments and some of my other favorites.  I got to pick out a couple ornaments this year and I picked out a rocket ship and an elf holding candy.
Max's tree has green ornaments and he picked out a choo choo train ornament at the store.

I thought this picture of my little brother was funny.  He put on my DVD player headphones, but he kind of looks like a DJ!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends.  We are truly blessed and thankful for our loved ones and the fun times we have together!

Max's First Haircut!

Today my baby brother had his very first haircut!  I had my first haircut around the same time... shortly after I turned two.  We went to Boulevard Barber Shop where Daddy and I get our haircut.  We had to wait for a little while, but Max and I were having fun hugging each other while we waited and being silly!

I went first to show Max how it's done.  I think that really helped him.
Maxy was all about giving Mommy kisses while I was getting my haircut.
Here's Max meeting Andrew, our barber.  He was a little shy at first, but he did soooo well!  He didn't cry at all.  Before he got in the chair, he was saying very sweetly, "no thanks."  But then he did great when he got in the chair.  He did say "all done" several times, but he held very still and was so patient!

 Here we go!
Had to spray a little water in it...
 Not sure what to think...
Looking so big!!  Thanks for a great first haircut for my baby brother, Andrew.  Mommy saved some of those curly blonde locks just in case they don't come back... hopefully they will!

Baby Spidey, Purple Pride and Art Club

Max loves to dress as "Baby Spidey" lately.  I gave him one of my masks, a special Spiderman glove and my Crocs, which makes up his Baby Spidey costume.  He loves to carry it around everywhere and put it on often.
Getting ready for the big game... even Murphy got dressed in purple!  It was sad that the Wildcats lost, but we are still super proud of our team, they are still number 1 in our eyes!!
We hosted art club the other day.  We get together monthly with some moms and kids to do art projects.  It was at our house this time and we made turkey chair covers.

 My chair cover!
Mommy made this "give thanks" banner to hang on our mantle with modge podged clothspins.
"George the Thankful Turkey" made an appearance again this year and we added feathers for what we are thankful for this year.
